A rear yard that drops steeply means tall posts, real lateral bracing and footings placed for a slope. On this kind of build the structure is the majority of the cost and the deck boards are the visible minority. It is also where an underbuilt deck eventually announces itself through movement.
A standard composite rail with wide posts removes a surprising amount of a valley view from a seated position. Cable or slim black aluminium keeps it. On a Mount Lookout deck this is the single decision most worth spending on.

Horizontal cable keeps the most, thin black aluminium pickets are close behind and usually cheaper. Both are far better than a composite rail with 5 inch posts, which cuts across the view exactly at seated eye level.
